To start off, if you haven’t had a chance to read the About Me page, let me give you some background about myself. My name is Patricia, and I am a Sewist with many years of experience. I am a wife, a mom, a writer, and a yoga instructor. Over the years, I have taught sewing classes at JoAnn Fabrics while I was their Education Coordinator. For years, I have enjoyed the opportunity to pattern test for several indie pattern companies. Before making a big move in 2019 to a different state, I started sewing for clients. I will show some photos of the fun garments below. Each of these sewing projects was fun, and I feel blessed to have been asked to be part of them.

Here is the whole outfit(Shirt, vest and knickers) I made for a young man who was the Prince of the Norwegian Syttende Mai celebration in Stoughton, Wisconsin, on the 17th of May. These patterns were from Norway translated into English, which made me have to rely on my sewing knowledge.

I have been writing off and on for the last 15 years on a few different subjects. I have loved sewing since I was about six years old when I was taught to hand sow by my mother and grandmothers. In the early to mid-2000’s I took a break from sewing and seriously wondered if that part of me was gone due to a significant life change at the time. However, in 2014 I realized that I was still buying sewing magazines even though I wasn’t sewing. With that realization, I knew I needed to sew again, and have been back to enjoying it since.

My vision for starting this blog is to share my joy of sewing and to give great information. As I am uncovering new information, I look forward to taking you all alongside me. One of my goals has always been to make sewing quick, but still professional looking. There will be some of my past publish articles from the last 15 years of writing shared on the blog that is about caring for clothes as well as choosing the right garments to fit your lifestyle to get your closet organized. Being a curious person, I enjoy discovering new things and will be sharing them with you!

With all that said, please join me every week with your coffee or tea in hand to share everything sewing!

Blessing and Happy Sewing to You!

Patricia
